Following the directives from the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Education for the immediate closure of tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools nationwide due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country, all schools have remained closed for more than a week now. This too was a part of the precautionary and proactive measures to contain the spread of the virus.
However, this development though seen as a welcomed development has raised many questions as to when exactly these schools will resume so as to enable students and pupils to prepare in advance for the resumption.
As a result of these constant questions of the education authorities via social media handles, they have then given the resumption date to be Monday, May 4th, 2020 which is one month and two weeks from the time of closure and they prayed and hope the deadly virus would have been gone before then.
And the COVID-19 break shall last for at least a month. So, with this development, students and pupils are advised to avoid unnecessary gathering for the time being and regular washing of hand with soap and running water.
NOTE; ASUU indefinite Strike continues Even if the FG has set up the resumption date.
